Here's how to set your plants up for success:![]()

The Basin Method: Don't plant on a mound - create a shallow basin or bowl around each plant instead. This catches and holds rain right where roots need it, rather than letting it run off. Especially important on slopes or in sandy soils.![]()

Mulch Matters: Apply 5-10cm of mulch around (not touching) the stem. Mulch keeps soil moist between rains, suppresses weeds, and moderates soil temperature. It's one of the best things you can do for establishment.![]()

Timing: Ground is still warm enough for root growth, and winter rain is coming. Plant NOW and let nature do the watering through winter. Your plants will thank you come spring!![]()
